Students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a variety of ways such as research assignments, practical’s, tutorials or community-based activities. Our students are taught in traditional classroom lectures, but also have access to online resources which they can use to revise and boost their knowledge. We are at the cutting edge of scientific research, but we are never too busy to assist our students or point them in the right direction.
The safety and well-being of our students is important to us. Students have access to a range of counselling and health facilities. We strive to make our campuses and surrounding areas as safe as possible to allow for you and your child/ward to have relative peace of mind. Each of our campuses has their own unique character and beauty and is equipped with state of the art resources and facilities to ensure that your child/ward will have everything at their disposal to graduate on time and ensure their own success through effective time management and by working consistently throughout the year to maintain a good average.
Teaching and Learning Post-Covid-19
AUC received its first KUCCPS placement in 2017/18 Academic year and this group will be Fourth Year in the 2020/21 Academic Year. AUC has two policies approved by the College Academic Board: the ICT and the Open and Distance e-Learning policies. To meet the learning and teaching needs of our students the AUC College Academic board and Management has in place the process of training lecturers in content preparation, uploading, and examination of students using the e-learning/ digital platforms. The University College has identified an ICT Director and the human resource needed to actualise the utilisation of ICT for e-learning: Instructional Designers/Technologist; Subject Matter Experts; Learner/Staff Support; Database administrator; Programmer; Support Desk (Call Centre); Hardware Maintenance staff and Quality Assurance. Lecturers have
adopted e-learning to complete the three weeks of the Semester of the 2019/2020 Academic year.
AUC has developed guidelines drawn from the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education protocols to guide the students regarding learning and accommodation in the academic year 2020/2021.
